Bill Knauer photographs scenes throughout the U.S., Russia, Ireland, Spain, France, Austria, Switzerland, Greece, and Italy. His acrylic paintings interpret his photos.

Originally painting in oils, he now focuses on acrylic impressionistic techniques. His expanding style comes from 3 years and over 1000 hours of continuous workshop participation. To continue learning, Bill has studied art throughout European museums and galleries, including the Hermitage, Louvre, Georges Pompidou, Musee d`Orsay, El Prado, Thyssen, as well as galleries throughout the U.S. He is currently a member of the Cove Gallery in Laguna Beach, CA.

Paintings primarily emphasize the use of bolder, vibrant colors, highlighting the sunlight and shadows of the late morning and afternoon sun. Bill’s goal is to colorfully capture the antiquity and beauty of life throughout the U.S. and Europe through impressionistic paintings.
